The Inveraray Jail Break will take place on Sunday 14th May 2017
The Inveraray Jail Break is an Annual race from Inveraray Jail to the top of Dun Na Cuaiche and back down again finishing in front of Inveraray Castle. This is it's eighth year of running.
This year the race takes place on May 14th.
We would like participants in the race to make a day of it in Inveraray and enjoy what Inveraray has to offer.
We would like as many local people as possible to get involved. This year medals are provided by local company Sea Drift Argyll. As always our main sponsor is Inveraray Jail.
It is not just a fun event to take part in, but it is also fun for spectators who can watch the runners going around the Dun Na Cuaiche folly from way down on the Cross Green, or can cheer the runners as they cross the finishing line, right in front of Inveraray Castle.
Taking part this year are a lot of runners from Inveraray and the rest of Argyll. But also competitors will be coming from Glasgow, Perthshire, Clackmannanshire, Ayreshire and South of the border.
This is above all else a local community event and you don't have to be a runner to get involved.
To take part you can:
Be a marshal.
Donate a spot prize.
Donate contents for the runners, or marshals goody bags.
Or you can just come along and cheer the runners on.
